Diana KORN

Diana Korn, born in 1981 is an exceptional multi-talented artist from Munich Germany with an international gallery presence. Her artistic work explores the whims of societal development. Diana’s current series of artwork reflects on and questions the polarity of consumer behavior through a unique sculptural language. She often plays with sociological notions of beauty and perfection, which is reflected in her mirror works through fractures and fun text messaging. Diana presents artworks in a provocatively clever, tongue-in-cheek manner while simultaneously paying homage to cultural icons. The influence of PopArt is evident in her work and it is through this lens that inspired her to create her newest series of “Art Pills”. In her “Art Pill “creations Diana illuminates the alluring and positive aspects of consumerism and the possible negative consequences of not recognizing their impact. She frequently utilizes and incorporates mirrors into her artworks as a tool of self-reflection. We often see what is consciously presented as perfect while the imperfect remains hidden. Diana chooses to express what she views and experiences in the world around her which is a commentary on cultural references in our lives. Diana Korn ”Through my works, I aim to inspire reflection and contemplation, encouraging viewers to engage with the fundamental questions of our existence. A key aspect of my work is questioning our consumer society and playfully drawing attention to its contradictions, inviting viewers to rethink their perspectives. Every person, every masterpiece, or every icon has a story that is either unknown to us or not shown. Hidden truths can significantly alter our self-image and how we perceive others. At the same time, my art is about the choices we make. Every decision requires freedom, and true freedom comes with responsibility. I want to inspire people to reflect and make conscious, wise choices. With my art, I intend to bring these untold stories to light and create awareness of their impact.“
